Works from my Studies I still like, 2016
While I overall enjoyed my Studies in Cologne, I was not the best in keeping or even archiving all the practial work or the papers we had to write. Something I now dearly regrett as I often would love to skimm through a chronological order of works and classes. So this is less of a Portfolio entry and more a way for me to archive some of the things I did back then.
I had a great teacher in Illustration, this was part of the Film/Animation block. We often could choose the tools for our Illustrations freely. I did do a lot of digital painting and a cute big Mecha, but also had to go back to the physical space and draw big storyboard frames with pencils. (An exercise also used to level the playing field for everyone so that craft and skill would be rewarded, not expensive gear or technical bullshit)
Sketches & Traces for Interaction Design / UX Design
These Sketches where made for an Interaction Design class, traced from pictures I took. One project I still remember was an Interface embedded into a mirror, giving you updates on your commute and events. While not a totally unique Idea I liked the team work and our result of the project.
